What are blu-ray statistics for movie units sold on older films?
Hi,
I need statistics on how many units of the following types of (old) movies would get sold on blu-ray per year (starting from this year)?
Movies like: Titanic, Terminator 2, Jurassic Park 1, Rush Hour 1, etc? (movies that most people would have purchased on DVD probably many years ago).
I basically need to know how 're-sellable' these types of movies are when they are released on a new medium in higher quality.
Anyone got any ideas?
Is it possible to play a regular dvd on a blu-ray dvd player?
I heard that they've stopped making hd dvd players. I have multiple dvds that wouldnt ever be made into blu ray disks. would i still be able to play them on a blu-ray player if they stopped making regular dvd players?
thanks.
Is the picture better with a regular Blu Ray player or a PS3?
I know PS3 can play Blu Rays, but I would assume the picture is better on a device that's sole purpose is to play Blu Rays. Unlike the PS3, which is to play games. Which Blu Ray player would you recommend? Thanks.
What Is the difference between Blu-Ray and HD DVD?
I just got a PS3 and I do NOT have an HDTV, so if I bought a Blu-Ray/HD DVD, would it still sound like an HD DVD without and HDTV? Plus, what is the difference between Blu-Ray and HD DVD? Thanks!
What is the sharpest blu ray movie you have seen?
I think its a 3-way tie between Crank, Hellboy, and IRobot but I have not seen all the blu-rays that are out. So let me know what you think is the sharpest blu ray with the best picture quality that you have seen.
how do you find the blu ray movie category on blockbusters website?
I have a PS3 which is a blu-ray dvd player. I'd like to rent movies online from blockbuster that are blu ray. Do you know where to find these movies on their website?
Is there a difference in Blu Ray Discs between Widescreen and Full Screen?
Do both versions come in a Blu Ray or are they two different versions for one movie you buy seperate?
Really? I would think that makes no sense since most HDTV are widescreens. I bought a ps3 for xmas havent opened it yet but it comes with Spiderman 3 and outside it say nothing on widescreen or full screen.
What is a good and reliable blu ray player?
I would like to a recommendation on a good blu ray player. Should I get a standalone player and buy a Playstation 3 because of their reliability. Any recommendations is appreciated. It will be connected to a HDTV 1080p hi def TV.
I meant to say -- should I get a standalone player OR instead a Playstation 3. Thanks.
How can a Blu ray disc not be a Digital Video Disc?
I don't think just because Blu Ray has a higher compression rate and can fit a lot more information on it makes it a different format. Isn't it just an improved DVD? Isn't this whole Blu ray thing a marketing scheme? And the fact that it requires a different kind of player doesn't mean it is a different format. When Hybrid cars that ran on battery power came out we didn't stop calling them cars, did we?
So how can Blu Ray be a different format than DVD?
How does regional encoding work for Blu-ray? Do code-free Blu-ray players exist?
I currently own a code free DVD player, meaning that I can play DVDs with any regional encoding. I love it, and it's great for foreign films.
Is regional encoding for Blu-ray similar to traditional DVD? Can someone explain this to me? I would imagine, hacking a Blu-ray is significantly more complicated than DVD. Is it possible to obtain code free Blu-ray players yet?
